“The condition here is dire, but my home is here”
“I only want my kids to have a bright future, that was why I brought them to Europe”
“One day we will return to Syria and tell others our stories as refugees”
“There is nothing here for us, I wish I will be treated as a person in Europe”
“I cry for Syria, we have lost everything in Syria.  I miss Syria, I miss our home.”

Living in Hong Kong, we probably feel that the refugee situation is not close to us, but their experience is real.  Though we may not know, the Syrian people have been seriously affected by war and conflict there.  Unfortunately, the number of refugees have reached the historic height of over 60 million.

Pray for the Refugees, Our Neighbours!

More than 300,000 people have risked their lives to cross the Mediterranean Sea so far this year. Over 2,600 didn’t survive the dangerous crossing, including three-year-old Alan.

Facing this serious refugee crisis since World War II, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees said, ‘No country can do it alone, and no country can refuse to do its part.’

Integral’s Disaster Response process was initiated on 6 August 2015 for severe flooding affecting large parts of Asia …

At least 493 people are reported dead in six countries after monsoon rains and tropical Cyclone Komen caused severe flooding in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, India, Nepal and Vietnam. An estimated 55,000 homes have been destroyed, with the media reporting one million people displaced (The Guardian; CNN).

Bless the Iraqi Refugees on this Year’s World Refugee Day

In a small tent in the cold northern Iraqi mountains, five children struggle to make the best of their difficult circumstance. They’ve been living here through the winter since Islamic State fighters broke into their home one late night last June and shot and killed their parents. One of the boys was also wounded by the gunshots. The children fled to safety together with their grandparents on Sinjar Mountain where they endured ten days without adequate food and water before reaching the safety of Iraqi Kurdistan.
