Established in 1991, CEDAR Fund is an independent Christian relief and development organisation serving those in poverty in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, with a vision to build a just and compassionate world. In addition to running projects on community development, anti-human trafficking, children and youth development, education, as well as disaster relief, CEDAR also advocates for justice and promotes the living out of Integral Mission among the Christian community.
CEDAR is currently searching for qualified persons to fill the positions below. Details are as follows:
Administrative Officer
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of CEDAR Fund.
- Handle general office and administrative tasks, including update of company records and filing of documents.
- Provide support to expenses claims and business travel logistics.
- Assist with HR-related functions, such as staff records maintenance, leave management.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- An understanding of the Christian faith and values of CEDAR Fund.
- Higher diploma or above with at least 2 years working experience in office administration.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Well-organised, good communication skills, and detail-minded with good time management.
Communications Officer
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of CEDAR Fund.
- Produce corporate communication materials, including periodic publications and news releases in Chinese and English.
- Develop static and interactive graphics and create designs for media.
- Manage corporate website and oversee social media campaigns.
- Give talks and sharing sessions to outside organisations, schools and churches.
Key Requirements:
- An understanding of the Christian faith and values of CEDAR Fund.
- Undergraduate or above, preferably with a major in Communications, Digital Media, Multimedia, or related disciplines.
- At least two years of relevant experience in communications and/or digital/social media.
- Experience with using Adobe software and other multimedia design tools is preferred.
- Preference is given to those with theological training.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English.
Assistant Accountant
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Committed to implementing the vision, mission, and operation principles of CEDAR Fund.
- Responsible for daily accounting operations, full sets of accounts, month-end closing, and account reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and supporting schedules.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding donations, project remittances and expense reimbursements.
- Responsible for outdoor assignments if needed, including but not limited to donation collection at post office, cheques bank-in etc.
- Provide accounting and administrative support to internal departments.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or above, preferably with major in accounting or related disciplines, or other qualifications with LCCI Level 3.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting is preferred.
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and able to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Candidate with more experiences will be considered as Accountant.
