India CCI Children Basic Needs Project

Calvary Commission of India (CCI) was established in 1983 and served the poor in Andhra Pradesh State.  Since 1987, a children home has been established under CCI for the provision of accommodation, food, clothing, education and spiritual nurture to more than 170 children.  Those children consist of orphans, street kids and children of Christian workers who serve in the poor communities.  CEDAR has been sponsoring CCI’s children ministry since 1997.

  1. SIR , WE ARE WORKING FOR POOR DALIT CHILDREN,, AND WE ALL MEMBERS OF THE NGO ARE ALSO FROM THE SAME COMMUNITY . WE REALLY WORRIED ABOUT DALIT EDUCATION AND PROPER DEVELOPMENT. HIGH CASTE PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE FUNDS FOR DALIT DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE THAY ARE PREFERRED EVERYWHERE,,
HOW TERRIBLE IT IS THAT A DALIT MAN OR DALIT FOUNDATION DOES NOT GET FUND FOR THEIR DEVELOPMENT ,,BUT THE SAME FUND WILL BE RELEASED TO HIGH CASTE MAN OR NGO RULED BY THEM. EVERYTHING IS OK ON PAPER ,,BUT THE BITTER TRUTH IS THAT STILL WE SUFFER SAME PROBLEMS AS OUR FOR FATHERS HAD. YA THAT’S TRUE THAT PROBLEMS HAVE CHANGED THE LOOK. STILL WE ARE COUNTED LOWER THAN THE ANIMALS,,STILL WE ARE OUTCAST ,,WE ARE NEGLECTED,,WE ARE HANDICAPPED, WE ARE EXPLOITED,,

    1. Thanks for your sharing and letting us know more about the needs of Dalit people in India. We do concern about the disparities among different castes. Will pray for you and the Dalit communities that you served.
