CEDAR’s story of serving the poor starts with a “mud cake”…

In a certain corner located in Haiti, the ground was covered in individual round cakes. These cakes were made of clay. There was a woman who would gently wipe the dirt off a mud cake with her hands and proceed to eat it, chewing slowly. For the poor in Haiti, mud cake was their daily meal -their life-saving meal.

This picture of chewing a mud cake for survival kickstarted our mission of caring for the poor, a mission that we have been living out for the past 30 years.

Now let us review CEDAR’s work together (video in Chinese only).
